I have spent a lot of time on the plantations in southern Georgia, and the Georgia/Florida Field Trial Club’s annual Bird Dog Field Trial is almost an annual event for me. I’ve got a wealth of reference photos that come from the trial. Usually I was on a horse, but many times I was running on foot alongside the gallery so I could get some great reference. I like painting a drawing people as much as dogs and horses, so that is why a lot of people are in the artwork.
