Ron Wagner – Illustrator

I graduated from a small Iowa High School right in the middle of Iowa. I had about 40 people in my class. That’s how small our high school was. But out of this farming community came an amazing illustrator who went on to big achievements. To put it in perspective, when I went to the comic book/book store downtown in my hometown here in upper Michigan, I asked the guys in the store, “Have you ever heard of Ron Wagner?” They exclaimed “Ron Wagner – yes!”

I am always in admiration of the great illustrators like Ron. And I love comic books. It is a rare talent to be able to make characters come to life in multiple panels. Not only come to life, but to be drawn so that they appear to be moving on the page. Ron has that talent.

Ron is best known for his work for the major comic book publishers such as D. C. Comics, Marvel, Image and IDW. He has worked on titles such as G. I. Joe, Batman, Superman, Flash, Punisher, Ghost Rider, Daredevil and many more. Plus he is a great portrait and mural artist.

Last but not least, we come from the same high school in the heart of Iowa. I like to brag about that.
