Black Lab Watercolor Portrait – “Beast”
This watercolor was the first serious painting I did since doing only a few original works the previous 10 years. Beast was my friend Sallie’s beloved Lab. Since I painted this in about 2000, I’ve done quite a few more – many of Beast’s offspring. Beast was one of Sallie’s early dogs and I met her when I first started visiting in the late 1990’s.
