Sometimes I see a photo of someone’s dog and it just begs to be painted almost exactly like the photo. I like painting water – especially with watercolor. I used no grey in painting the water. It was a careful combination of Alizarin Crimson and Viridian Green and had to be done just right to maintain the smoothness of the water. The bumper was actually the hardest part to get right because the color was brighter than basic red. I had to research and then get Quinacridone Magenta to get the color just right.
